9525

9525 is a fundamentally different product to N1 and N2. It is not a surface sealant. Instead it is designed to sit below the surface or between asphalt layers, and is stronger and more rigid than N1 and N2, being essentially pure bitumen. Its primary use is sealing cable chases for airfield ground lighting (AGL) cables laid below the asphalt surface as a runway is constructed.

In our experience, 9525 works better than a surface-grade sealant for AGL chases because its rigidity and bitumen content protect the cable run through the full depth of the construction, where a flexible surface sealant would not hold up between layers.
