Structural / Sub-Surface Sealant 9525 is a fundamentally different product to N1 and N2. It is not a surface sealant — it is designed to go below the surface or between asphalt layers. Stronger and more rigid than N1/N2, essentially pure bitumen. Its primary application is sealing cable chases for airfield ground lighting (AGL) cables that are laid below the asphalt surface as the runway is constructed.
Applications: Sub-surface and inter-layer cable chases, AGL cable sealing, below-surface structural joints. Specification: BS EN 9525 structural joint sealant.
