Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Shepherd and Sons Contracting Ltd(“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website.
Who we are
Shepherd and Sons Contracting Ltd is a specialist surfacing contractor based at Little Westerhill Farm, Westerhill Road, Linton, Maidstone, Kent ME17 4BS. You can reach us by phone on 07768 662153 or by email at shepherdandsonsltd@gmail.com. We are the data controller for the information described below.
What we collect
The only personal data this website collects is what you choose to enter into our enquiry form: your first and last name, email address, telephone number, the sector and service you are asking about, and the content of your message.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
How we use it
We use these details solely to respond to your enquiry and, where it leads to work, to carry out that work. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — replying to someone who has asked us to get in touch — and, where a contract follows, performance of that contract.
Who processes it
Form submissions are delivered by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service acting as our processor, which passes the message to our email inbox. This website is hosted on Vercel. Both providers process data on our instructions and under their own security obligations.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to answer it and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted.
Cookies and analytics
When you first arrive we ask whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. Nothing non-essential is set until you choose, and if you decline, none of it is set at all.
If you accept, we use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand which pages people find useful and which enquiries came from an advert. These set cookies named _ga and _ga_<id> (Google Analytics, up to 2 years) and _gcl_au (Google Ads, 90 days). Google acts as a processor and may receive your IP address and pages viewed.
You can change your mind at any time — clear this site’s cookies in your browser and you will be asked again on your next visit. Declining does not affect any part of the site.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email shepherdandsonsltd@gmail.com.
If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page.
