Shepherd & Sons delivers specialist aviation services tailored to the demanding standards of airfield environments.

Our team provides precision line marking using epoxy systems that meet airfield specifications, ensuring durability and clear visibility in all conditions. We carry out expert concrete cutting and diamond drilling, alongside essential maintenance services including joint sealing, crack chasing, and overbanding to preserve surface integrity.

We also install and maintain Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) to support safe operations. From runway repairs to apron maintenance, we work efficiently with minimal disruption. Please note, we do not provide pull testing within our aviation services.

We are based at Little Westerhill Farm near Maidstone in Kent and work airside at UK airports. Airside work is defined by its window rather than its scope: escorted access, a permit for every penetration, foreign object debris control strict enough to treat a single core plug as a hazard, and a surface handed back serviceable before the first movement of the day. The South East is served from our own yard, and anything longer or further afield is mobilised as a national programme.
